3-4-5 September three-Day tour in Tusheti
1) Day: We are going up to the highest Torgva bath engine pass of Georgia (2900 meters above sea level)via Stori River Valley region, which moves in Tusheti. From here we can see spectacular views of Kakheti and Tusheti. Along the way we will be able to see waterfalls, avalanches, subalpine and alpine meadows, beautiful snow-capped peaks of the Caucasus Mountains. We will go to Visitor’s Information Centre of Tusheti Protected Areas Administration Building in the village Kvemo omalo and visit the museum. Through of this photo gallery we will introduce the culture and traditions of Tush. Then we will move to the village Shenako. After the accommodation and dinner, we will visit the last villages of Tusheti - Diklo and Old Diklo which are situated on the border.
2) Day: We will visit the picturesque villages of Pirikita Gorge, the Historical and Architectural Museum - village Dartlo, Dano, the castle- village Kvavlo, Chesho, Parsma, where is "White Castle", from where Erekle II sent ambassadors to Russia and he was waiting for an answer. After all, we will visit the last village of Tusheti, Girevi. Then we will visit the villages of the valley Gometsari: Bochorna (the highest village on 2350 m) with the most beautiful, extensive Gometsari valley views and the villages which are scattered on mountain slopes. Also we will see the village Dotchu - where there are still preserved ancient architecture built 3 storeyed castle- houses. In the evening you will taste traditional Tushetian khinkali.
3) Day: We have the opportunity to see the village and the nearby abandoned village - Ageurta the natural and cultural resources which are there. Then we'll go in the village Zemo Omalo and see the castle towers of Keselo and the museum there. Finally we will come back to Tbilisi.
The price of the tour for one person – 300 GEL! The price includes: food, transportation, guesthouse, guide, price of the museum and tradional Khinkali and delicious Kotori (khachapuri), Wine, Chacha. Tourist season lasts from 25 May to 7 October.
