Davidgareji is the grandiose complex of cave monasteries located in semi-desert environment just south of Tbilisi. It was established in the 6th century AD. Once it housed 10 000 monks, but today it functions as a monastery with few monks. Its walls are still covered in striking religious frescos.

2.Vashlovani National Park

Vashlovani National Park is a protected area where you can find the savanna type landscape. Here there are a lot of endemic plants and animals.
