Rabati Castle is the complex of buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. The Castle was originally established in the 9th century AD and later was completely rebuilt by the Ottomans. Most of the surviving buildings date from the 17th and 18th centuries.

3. Vardzia

Vardzia is the 12th-century artificial cave system, which is located in Samtskhe- javakheti. It was a religious building, housing priests and many churches. It was built during the reign of the legendary woman king- Tamar. Her reign went into history as “a Golden Age”. Georgia achieved a zenith of its power at this time.
